At the end of this season, Mark Hyndman (University of Warwick) will be stepping back from the Students' RFU (SRFU) Chair role after successfully leading the union through six seasons. Mark will continue representing the university sector on the RFU Council alongside Katy Storie (Newcastle University). Replacing him as Chair is current SRFU Secretary and Trustee Patrick Craig (University of Leeds), who has been an active volunteer with the SRFU since 2008.
We are now looking to attract the right individual to step forward and take on a senior volunteer role in the SRFU, details below:
The SRFU are seeking an experienced individual to join our Board of Trustees as the new Company Secretary of the Students’ RFU. As one of the Officers of the SRFU, you will provide leadership and governance oversight, working with the other Trustees and volunteers to progress the game of rugby within Higher Education in England. The role-holder will be required to operate both across the organisation and with our key stakeholders, including the RFU and BUCS. Specifically, you will be the discipline lead for the CB, with an active involvement in the Higher Education Rugby Union Disciplinary Group.
